I realize it’s been quite a while since I’ve updated the site, but I came across this video on Break today and felt nostalgic for my good ole H2WTO site. Enjoy.

Apparently I’m way behind the curve on this one, but there’s a website out there called chatroulette.com that is very similar to my previous post about Omegle.  It puts you and an unnamed stranger into a video chat room together.

There are a lot of videos out there, detailing Chat Roulette experiences… Including this one made by Ben Folds at one of his most recent concerts.

The only catch is that both parties must have a webcam set up in order to use the service at all.  Fortunately, there’s a work around for that as well.  This post over at Instant Fundas details how to use a program called ManyCam to fake your live feed to the other party you’re chatting with.  Now that I know the feed can be modified, my mind is filled with tons of possibilities… Maybe I’ll record some and post them later.  In the mean time, go try out Chat Roulette for yourself and leave your thoughts in the comments.

EDIT 4/14/10: Yeah, you know how I said that this site could be interesting if used creatively?  Well, forget that.  It sucks.  It’s just a bunch of old guys jerking off into their webcams.  Someone should really do a study on why people feel compelled to do that.

I found this website today that’s geared around getting focused.  Today we receive constant streams of information through our TV’s, computers, radios, and cell phones.  How To Get Focused aims to filter out those distractions and make for a more productive, enjoyable lifestyle.  I realize this website preaches the exact opposite of what How to Waste Time Online is based around, but I think that’s precisely why I’ve decided to add some of their posts to my slowly expanding collection.  I’ve been posting less lately because I’m trying to get focused — on my work, my health, and my future.  Sadly, that doesn’t leave much time for random posts about kittenwar.com, FratMusic.com, or The Episode Downloader.

So, now that it’s spring and the weather is getting nicer (with the exception of this weekend) I recommend taking a look at some of these intriguing articles posted over at How To Get Focused.
